In India, our journey, shaped by the Drugs and Cosmetics Act of 1940 and the Pharmacy Act of 1948, is shifting from purely dispensing to a more active role in patient counseling and health promotion, aligning with global standards.

Your Professional Responsibilities: As a community pharmacist, you're vital! Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) & SOPs: Your Guiding Stars To ensure consistent, high-quality care, we follow Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) – a set of global standards focusing on patient-centered care and ethical conduct. To put GPP into action, every pharmacy uses Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). These are your step-by-step guides for daily tasks, ensuring consistency, safety, and efficiency in everything you do, from receiving stock to counseling a patient.
